MEET THE TEAM

  • Duncan is returning to pub life after a 20+ year gap. Having said he’d retire to a pub one day this opportunity came along sooner than expected but it was too good to miss and now here he is. Always wanting to be the life and soul of the party, being behind the bar suits his larger than life personality and his laugh! If there is any time leftover Duncan will be bankside fishing, writing, reading or sketching, preferring the traditional approach of cane.

  • Claire can be found in the week at Home-Start Ashford & District, a local charity where she is a Co-Scheme Manager. Claire’s love for data, organisation and being methodical are of great importance in pub life especially when juggling everything. Outside of work she loves spending time with Duncan, Hana, Luke and Jay as well as their Doggos. Claire also has a passion for coffee, crisps, horse riding, (window) shopping, eating out and the cinema.

  • Hana, teacher by day, bingo caller by night!!! Although she works ad-hoc, you will normally hear her singing *completely in tune* in the kitchen before you see her.

    Outside of work, you will find Hana enjoying a weekend stroll followed by a coffee with her fiancé Jay and her dog Pierre.

  • Luke is currently studying his part 1 in Architecture. He can be found at the pub during the weekends, both in the kitchen and on the bar. He is well known for his ‘flipping’ good burger skills on the BBQ.

    When not working or studying hard he enjoys music, football and rugby.
